Well, it finally happened to me. I had read about it, heard about, even tried to help others through it. But, for the first time, it has happened to me! I have hit the wall and can't seem to create even a shopping list much less something blog worthy. Has this ever happened to you? I feel like there's a giant void where all my creative juices used to be. I'm praying now that this is just a temporary thing and my love of crafting hasn't been damaged! Hope you will bear with me and I will try to get my act together soon!
The picture is the wall in my front yard. I was outside with the animals and that wall seemed to say just what was in my head. I am going to take a long walk and try to get the inspiration from this beautiful place that has always been there for me before. Thanks for letting me vent and I pray this never happens to any of you. One thing that never changes....my appreciation for each and every one of you. Many blessings to you!
It does happen once in a while, but it always comes back! I'm betting your walk through this gorgeous bit of God's nature will do the trick!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful green landscape!!
Wow, your property looks beautiful! Hopefully that will inspire you this morning. If not, what I always do when I feel that way is find a challenge, especially a sketch type one. It takes the pressure off a bit. Hope your creativity is soon flowing!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, this happens!
ReplyDeleteI 've gone through this myself a couple of times but don't worry ... you'll come up with something very soon, I think a short interval helps to refresh creative ideas.

I think we've all hit it..although your wall is a really pretty one! you just need a break...you haven't lost it! LOL the suggestion to just go with a sketch is a good one...I have had to walk away for a week before...will check back on you!

I come across these walls alot- I feel blessed to have SCS to look for for inspiration- sometimes I CASE cards there to get the creativity flowing, sometimes I try thr challenges...... Keep your mind on giving Thanks for all of the great things you are blessed with, it will come, it will come....!!!
ReplyDeleteWell at least it's a beautiful one! I love your pictures - both in the title and your little wall. I'm sure this will pass quickly =) You're too creative for it not to!
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah - I've hit that wall before. Sometimes I just need to take a break, blog hop, do laundry, play with my stuff - reorganize and suddenly about 2 a.m. I will wake up with a wonderful card idea - either that or when I am at work in a meeting and far away from my stuff.
ReplyDeleteYour mojo will be back! Just hang in there!
oh i know just where you are at as two weeks ago i ended my 5 week "empty time"!! not to worry as it will pass and you will create once again :) only advice i can give you is... don't give up!!! keep looking at craft items and challenges and "make" cards in your head, that is what kept me form tossing all my items and finding another hobby! oh and my sweet dh's encouragement also was a big help. keep updating us :)
ReplyDeleteI've been there too Vicki and just rest assured your creative juices will be re-flowing very soon! It's always nice to take a break & look for things that inspire you....for me it's HGTV. {{{HUGS}}}
ReplyDeleteI've been there too, take a couple of days away and you will soon feel refreshed and raring to go.

I've been there. When I lost my Dad suddenly last year, it took me months to be able to stamp again. It slowly came back.
ReplyDeleteI love your rock wall!!
Maybe you just need a little break!!
It happens to all of us. You'll feel like your creative self again. In the mean time, enjoy a different activity for awhile.
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone, it has happened to me too. You will find the inspiration when you least expect it.
ReplyDeleteVicki, Please visit my blog to see the blog award I have given to you!!!

Oh yes, it does happen. I am rather there now because of all the things in my life that are so demanding. Recently, I've had the faintest outlines of creativity coming back. As far as blogging goes, I do find inspiration in others' posts or perhaps you can just post a photo. Words aren't always necessary.
ReplyDeleteMay your creativity and inspiration come back to you!
PS The wall in your yard is very cool!
Every creative person needs refreshing. So instead of thinking of it as a wall, think of it as a time of refreshing. Periods of quiet time are good for the mind, soul, and body! God Bless-
ReplyDeleteFor sure it happens. Hope your walk was refreshing and that you won't stay "stuck" for long. Sometimes a look back at past accomplishments can help us move forward. Blessings.
ReplyDeleteLove your visual here! LOL. When I get that way, I look for a good challenge. usually that works, but sometimes I have to step away from the craft desk for a day or two until my hands are itching to get inky again.
ReplyDeleteIt happens to everyone. You do great work. Your Mojo will return.
