Hello Friends!
Some of you may remember this picture from a previous post last summer. This was "Ria". a kitten that was abandoned by the mother and the only one to survive from a litter of five. Well, Ria turned out to be a "HE-A" so his name is now "Little One".
Little One will be a year old in April and is a constant source of joy! He has gone from laying in my arms to taking over my bed! He can be a "terrible twos" like terror with his antics, but he always makes me laugh! No shelf is too high, no plant is too wet, and no piece of paper ever stays where you put it! The other cats just look at him and shake their heads!! I keep thinking he'll outgrow his zest for play, but I hope not. He's the clown that keeps my spirits up!
I also wanted you to see what this little imp grew up to look like. He is small compared to the other cats but so was his mama. His lack of size has never held him back and his 'hit and run' tactics have served him well! I am thankful that all the special attention he required (just like those 2 AM feedings) has let him grow into a happy and healthy friend. He brings me joy and entertainment that none of my other animals can match!
It was a real chore to get photos of him STILL but I managed to get a couple of shots while he was distracted! (which is an easy thing for him to be...LOL).
I hope each of you has a "Little One" in your life! Be it dog, cat, bird, or fish, they are God's creatures and a living testimony of His love.
Well, I am off to see what I have to put back, replace or refill for the umpteenth time! Thanks for sharing your time
with us today and we hope you will stop by often! I hope to have some crafting time today if I can get Little One off my desk and out of my chair!!
Blessings to you,
Vicki
Precious pics and story. My "Little One"(s) are two long-hair dachshunds and my dear daughter and son. While they are mainly different in furry-ness (LOL) they are the loves of my life. I am constantly replacing, refilling, and putting back with them too, but as my mom just said yesterday, "remind yourself of the joy you have because they are there when you are picking up after them". Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOh... Little One is sooo cute!
ReplyDeleteYes I definitely agree with you...a pet brings fun and joy in a family, we found Tod (a cat)and adopted him and he has really brought a ray of sunshine in our lives.
Have a nice weekend!
Hugs,
Sue.
Vicki what a precious kitty. I love cats...hubby however really allergic :( Love your new header pic btw, gorgeous view!
ReplyDeleteOh goodness Vicki, he is too precious!! Thanks for sharing with us!
ReplyDeleteVicki what a sweetheart!
ReplyDeleteOh how sweet! I loved reading about Little One. We got a puppy a year and half ago and she's grown into a treasured member of our family. She's a standard poodle named Truly Scrumptious. We'll be cat-sitting my sister's spunky kitten Oreo when they go on vacation next month and I can't wait to see how those two get along here. :)
ReplyDeleteawww what a cutie!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet. I can never get pictures of my cats unless they are sleeping.
ReplyDeleteVicki, What a beautiful story about Little One. Your kitties are just as lucky to have you as you are to have them.... Herding cats for photos is a pastime of mine too...Hehehehe
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your story about "Ria", I mean "He-a" :) I'm happy to hear such a great story about him, it's wonderful. It made my day, I'm glad he fills your day with fun too!
ReplyDeleteCute kitties! My girls would love to have a cat but my dog wouldn't allow it. She is very territorial!
ReplyDeleteOh, he is darling!
ReplyDeleteVicki, he is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sweet and what a little sugar!!! :) It's great that he makes your days full of fun, what would we do without furry ones?
ReplyDeleteYes, I too have a little sweetie, she's been with us for 3 years next year.
He is just adorable, Vicki!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie! Those beautiful blue eyes when he was little. We too love cats - have 3 along with 3 dogs, etc. They are such a joy and we love every one of them. Life would be very dull without them. Our oldest is 15 and our youngest is 2 - she's completely blind and the most precocious ever!! Thanks so much for sharing - I know he's glad he has you.
ReplyDeleteAhh - sweet! It is clear how much joy Little One brings to you.
