Happy Fall Y'all !
Hello and welcome! I realize it isn't officially fall yet, but it sure seems like it with the weather changes! And, of course, we are all working on fall themed projects! So that makes it fall, right? We'll have to include autumn in this, too!
I have a fall project today that I thoroughly enjoyed working on! I got to stamp and stamp some more! I created my own background paper for this pillow box doorhanger! I used two leaf stamps and went to town on orange cardstock!!I used a smaller leaf stamp as a filler. I also used the stamps as templates for the metallic leaves on the front. I used a large oval punch to make the doorknob opening. Then I added the green raffia bow to finish the look. All I can say is FUN...oh one more time...FUN!
Now I need your help! Do you think this sort of thing would be a good seller at a fall craft show? Wouldn't it be awesome to have this much fun making something and it sell, too?!?!? I need your honest opinions!
Thanks so much for your visit and I want to wish each of you Happy Fall Y'all!!
Blessings to you,
Vicki

This is a wonderful project! It has been so cool here, it has felt like Fall for a few weeks...tee hee hee!
ReplyDeleteVery cool project!! I have always had trouble at craft shows. Maybe it is the economy in the past couple of years. I think people are only spending money on the things they have to.I hope that I am wrong and that you do great.
ReplyDeleteI like this alot! I think it would do well at shows! Do you have a template for this?
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous colors. Love the leaves!
ReplyDeleteThis is just too cute...love the colors of fall especially leaves. Great job.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great project...those leaves are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Advertise it as Thanksgiving favors for family dinners. i plan on making something similar this year for our get together.
ReplyDeleteVery Fallish! I love the colors of fall! These would be great for a favor, or to hold the napkin and silverware. The leaves are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous. Love the fall colors, and I agree, it surely looks like fall around here too, even though it hasn't started yet.
ReplyDeleteVicki - this is lovely! How sweet to bring a little slice of Autumn to your door :)
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS, I love autumn too, Spring has started over here in Oz and I am LOVING the sunshine after a cold winter :0)

Oh Vicki, just a wonderful FUN project! you did an awesome job on your leaves. Craft shows are tough, especially right now. It would depend on how much you wanted to make. Our local crafts shows in the area schools cost between $35-50 for a spot. So if you sold these for (just as an example : $3 a piece), you need to make and sell 10-20 just to get your table money back (doesnt count your time and material)... I don't know what the economy is like in your area, but ours is pretty tough right now - the local shows are begging for vendors (but the sales are really down). You might do better seeing if your local consigment stores will sell for you...just a suggestion - best wishes on this, let us know what you decide :)))

Vicki,
ReplyDeleteHi! Had internet and thought I would visit everyone. You did a great job on the door hanger. It's wonderful! The leaves came out super! I know I had tried these at a craft fair once and they did okay. But when I did them as wine holder tags rather than for a door hanger, they did great! Let us know what you decide on doing them for the craft fair. Thanks for your great post on going green too!
